The apostle Paul told his star pupil in the faith, Timothy, to “study to show yourself approved.” The Christian faith will not seep into our lives through osmosis. WE need to break open our Bibles and really dig into the contents if we are to find the buried treasure contained therein. Timothy was willing to do this and it reaped results in his life. A life that is too cluttered with various pursuits will likely choke out the time needed to study the depths of Scripture.
